St. Mary's Youth is a welcoming community for middle and high school students to connect, grow, and serve together. We gather weekly during the school year, meeting both on and off campus, creating space for meaningful relationships and faith-filled experiences.

Whether students are new to their faith or have grown up in the church, all are welcome here. From local outreach projects to mission trips beyond our community, there are many opportunities to learn, serve, and grow together.

We Meet

Our group welcomes students from St. Mary's and across the community. See the schedule below to find a time that works for you!

We Learn

We dive into Scripture together, share meals, and build friendships through study, games, and group discussions.

We Participate

From reading scripture in worship services to mission trips in Ecuador, youth at St. Mary's play an active role in church life — serving, leading, and growing in faith. We recognize our youth as the future of the church and leaders today.

Hope on the ground

St. Mary's has a rich history and relationship with Education=Hope in Quito, Ecuador. Through visits to La Iglesia Buen Pastor, we continue to learn and grow alongside their parishioners. Our short-term missions involve serving alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ from Buen Pastor. Through these experiences, we grow closer to Christ!

Education = Hope provides for the education of children in desperate and difficult places.

Our short-term missions are through Hope on the Ground, a branch of Education Equals Hope. E=H provides education and spiritual mentoring, empowering them to break the cycle of poverty, and impact the next generation.

Kanuga Youth Week

Hendersonville, NC

Youth pray over

As one of the longest-running events for youth ministry in the United States, Youth Week brings together youth and adults who work with youth from around the country for a week of fun, friendship and prayer. This Kanuga tradition embodies the vibrancy of the national Episcopal Church and encourages participants to seek authentic connections with Christ and one another. Those who attend are empowered to build community through small group discussions, conference-wide gatherings, music, prayer, and play.

Youth Confirmation

Confirmation is the sacramental rite in which the candidates “express a mature commitment to Christ and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop” (BCP, p. 860). Through confirmation, those who were baptized at an early age can make a mature public affirmation of their faith, recommit themselves to the responsibilities of their baptism, and receive laying on of hands by a bishop.

Every other year, St. Mary's offers a Youth Confirmation class for students in 8th grade and above. Classes take place in the spring once per week. If you are seeking confirmation, please complete the confirmation application and submit to the youth director or the church office.
